Monday – Friday: 8 am - 9 pm 

Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Jumu'ah Khutbah (Friday Sermon/Prayer): 1:15 PM - 2 PM

  • Open in-person to NYU Members and Non-NYU Members with the approval From the Building Access Form

  • Please note that only the prayer room will be open until 9pm for Maghrib prayers (all other spaces will be closed at 8pm)

  • From June 15th to July 15th, the Prayer Room will be open until 9:15pm before returning to 9pm July 16th

The Islamic Center at NYU serves a diverse Muslim population in the New York and the tri-state area. Located in the heart of lower Manhattan, the Islamic Center at NYU provides a safe place for individuals with multiple points of entry to learn, pray, socialize, and utilize a space situated at intellectual and spiritual crossroads.

We offer free class and events throughout the year for communtiy member of all ages and backgrounds, and during Ramadan, we host 600-800 people each night for iftar and other special programs.

How Can I Attend Events at the IC?

  1. Fill Out Our Form

Once you submit our Building Access Form, you will need to wait for a confirmation email.

This may take up to one day. If you arrive without submitting the form, we cannot guarantee that your submission will be processed immediately.

2. Wait For An Email

Upon arrival, you'll need to present a physical, government-issued photo ID. A digital copy or photo will not be accepted. The name on your ID must match the name you used on the form.

If you don't meet these conditions, you won't be allowed in the building. No exceptions.
